Kaleidoscope
The pianist from Santiago, Isabel Dobarro, returns to her city with a recital focused on international female composition. Kaleidoscope is a sonic journey featuring works by composers such as Karen Tanaka, Zulema de la Cruz, Ann Southam, Consuelo Díez, and Galician composer Carme Rodríguez. The piano becomes a fluid and ever-changing instrument, reflecting the flow of water as a metaphor for transformation and creative freedom.

The “Xenerais da Ulla” is the most outstanding feature of the Ulla region’s traditional Carnival. It has been held in the surroundings of Santiago since the first half of the 19th century: the “Xenerais” (generals) ride on horseback, dressed in colourful military garments similar to those of that time, but they also include purely carnivalesque adornments, which the horses also wear.
