Gravado, ilustración, deseño e humor gráfico en Galicia
To celebrate January 30, Illustration Day, we make a bibliographic exhibition with a selection of documents from our collection to give an overview of the history of illustration and graphic arts in Galicia up to the present day. Great historical figures such as Castelao, Luis Seoane, Carlos Maside or Camilo Díaz Baliño, come together in this exhibition with the most current authors, among which we highlight Xosé Vizoso, the person honored in 2025. The Illustration Day is a collaborative project of the Consellería de Cultura, Lingua e Xuventude and AGPI (Galician Association of Illustration Professionals).
From January 20 to February 28, 2025 on the first floor of the Library, newspaper library area. It can be visited during library opening hours.

Festivals
The Festa do Banquete de Conxo will count on the tourist train, which will be available to citizens and visitors for free transfers between the Alameda, in the city centre, and the neighbourhood of Conxo.
The 2025 Ascensión Festivities will fill Compostela with music, activities, and tradition during the last week of May. This celebration, one of the most beloved by the people of Santiago, returns with open-air concerts, children’s shows, traditional markets, fairground rides in the Alameda, and exhibitions of Galician folk culture.
