An artistic inter-school project born from the collaboration between IES de Cacheiras and CIFP Compostela.

The exhibition is the result of an innovative joint effort involving 3rd-year secondary students from IES de Cacheiras in the subject of Visual, Plastic and Audiovisual Education (EPVA), along with voluntary 1st-year students from the same subject, and students of the Modular and Dual Higher Programme in Graphic Production Design and Management and Digital Printing at CIFP Compostela.

The students from IES de Cacheiras, under the coordination of teacher Ana Delia Rodríguez Dorrego, delved into the stone imaginary of the gargoyles of Santiago de Compostela, developing a two-phase artistic project: first, analysing, documenting and faithfully drawing a selected gargoyle; and then reinterpreting that same figure through techniques such as collage or 3D modelling, giving free rein to their creativity and offering new perspectives on these unique sculptures that inhabit the city rooftops.

Meanwhile, students from CIFP Compostela, under the guidance of teacher Martín Alamancos Brandariz, created the exhibition’s posters, flyers, display structures and roll-ups based on the works produced at IES de Cacheiras.

Throughout the exhibition, visitors will be able to participate by voting for their favourite works in two categories: drawing and sculptural/collage interpretation. Voting will remain open until April 6th, and the winning artworks will receive a prize awarded by the Hospedería de San Martín Pinario.

The exhibition will remain open until April 10th, the date on which the closing ceremony will take place at 8:00 p.m., including the award presentation.
