Eris MacKenzie-Atardecer no Gaiás
Atardecer no Gaiás is an open‑air concert series hosted by Cidade da Cultura . Free of charge, it’s designed to celebrate summer sunsets in Santiago de Compostela with a diverse musical lineup—including rap, neo‑traditional, indie pop, electronic, and tropical rhythms. Held on the Gaiás Central Plaza every Thursday and Friday in July and August, starts at 9 pm .
Eris MacKenzie is the name of Carlos Eirís' solo project. A combination of minimalist electronica and traditional Galician music through which he talks about the happy, or not so happy, experiences that have marked him (emotional relationships, family problems, excessive self-demand...). The man from A Coruña has just released Meu Ceu: Cantigas industriais e brutalismo emocional (AAldea, 2025), 14 tracks conceived as a process of mourning and liberation.

Festivals
The festivities dedicated to the Apostle, the patron saint of Santiago, of Galicia and of all of Spain, last for about a fortnight. This festival combines religious and official solemnity, tradition and entertainment, which turn the entire city into a large fiesta.
July 24th and 25th are the two main days. On the night of July 24th there is an impressive firework display in honour of the Apostle, visible from different points in the city.
