When talking about El Consorcio, it’s impossible not to mention Mocedades, as all its members were part of that group. They are the only Spanish-speaking band to have sold over a million copies of a single sung entirely in Spanish.
El Consorcio, formed by Estíbaliz Uranga, Amaya Uranga, Iñaki Uranga, and Carlos Zubiaga, is the country’s quintessential vocal group, and their greatest hits remain timeless. Tómame o déjame, El vendedor, La otra España, Qué pasará mañana, Secretaria, Quién te cantará, Desde que tú te has ido, Amor de hombre, Dónde estás corazón, Le llamaban loca… highlight their extensive and remarkable five-decade career in Spanish music.
ERES TU, composed by Juan Carlos Calderón, was one of their biggest hits. With Mocedades, this song earned them second place at Eurovision in 1973.
Their extraordinary voices, with unmatched blend and quality, led them to win a Latin Grammy in 2016.

The “Xenerais da Ulla” is the most outstanding feature of the Ulla region’s traditional Carnival. It has been held in the surroundings of Santiago since the first half of the 19th century: the “Xenerais” (generals) ride on horseback, dressed in colourful military garments similar to those of that time, but they also include purely carnivalesque adornments, which the horses also wear.
