At the City of Culture, we celebrate World Circus Day with Xampatito Pato and a show where puppetry and the circus world intertwine in a beautiful story where every cog turns to perfection. A surreal and dreamlike world, and a wordless tale that mesmerizes children and awakens the child that every adult once was.
Xampatito Pato is the stage project of Jesús Velasco Otero, a multidisciplinary artist known for his skill and creativity—qualities that come to life on stage through stunning performances that instantly connect with audiences. With various companies and shows, he has toured and brought his art to cities in China, Russia, Croatia, Switzerland, France, Italy, Portugal, and throughout Spain.

Festivals
The Festa do Banquete de Conxo will count on the tourist train, which will be available to citizens and visitors for free transfers between the Alameda, in the city centre, and the neighbourhood of Conxo.
The 2025 Ascensión Festivities will fill Compostela with music, activities, and tradition during the last week of May. This celebration, one of the most beloved by the people of Santiago, returns with open-air concerts, children’s shows, traditional markets, fairground rides in the Alameda, and exhibitions of Galician folk culture.
