Cidade Imaxinaria returns to Gaiás to transform the hill into a dreamlike place: singing chairs, giant animals, impossible acrobatics, games to stop time, and little wonders for young and old to enjoy. On 6 September, from 5 pm to 10 pm, the little ones will take over the City of Culture and turn it into a place full of magic.

A Saturday afternoon to bid farewell to summer in style. Fifteen activities including fixed and travelling shows, play areas and spaces to stimulate creativity. There will also be a food court designed for families.

Held between 2011 and 2019, La Cidade Imaxinaria is one of the classic events in the Gaiás children's programme, bringing together thousands of families over its eleven previous editions. In 2023, it resumed after a hiatus during the pandemic, and in 2024, unlike other years, the activities were concentrated into a single afternoon. In 2025, the activities will begin and end an hour later (from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.) so that older children can enjoy a show adapted to their age at dusk.
