ADEGA, a historic organization in Galician environmentalism, celebrates its 50th anniversary with a series of activities in Santiago de Compostela from September 29 to October 7.
The program, in collaboration with the City Council, aims to bring citizens closer to the history and challenges of the Galician ecological movement. It begins on Friday, September 26 at 12:00 PM at Paseo da Alameda with the opening of the traveling exhibition 50 Years Caring for the Earth, followed by a guided tour. In the afternoon, the documentary A terra por gañar will be screened, accompanied by a roundtable on ADEGA’s history.
Over the following eight days, there will be recycling workshops, visits to the wastewater treatment plant, guided routes, screenings, and biodiversity activities, many requiring prior registration: bit.ly/50anos_compostela. The exhibition will also visit several schools in Compostela to introduce younger generations to Galician environmentalism.
