The Granada-based company Títeres Etcétera brings to the Gaiás this stage show with music, puppets and projections based on the classic tale by Hans Christian Andersen that tells the fable of that duckling, different from the others, who turned out to be a great swan.
"Andersen, the Ugly Duckling" immerses us in this well-known story and in the childhood of its author, the Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875), who said that this tale was also his autobiography. As a child, because of his physique, clumsiness and low social class, he suffered rejection and bullying and found refuge in literature, theatre, puppets and paper cut-outs. Andersen exchanged his wounds for stories that more than a century later are still enlivening the imagination of children all over the world.
