For this spring, and coinciding with the great festivities of the Nail of San Lázaro, we propose a walk along the riverside path that crosses this historic neighbourhood, following the river Sar upstream to its source, at the beginning of the Sar.
The walk allows you to get to know the past and present of Compostela, passing by old tanneries, old mills and fountains that show the different uses of the river in ancient times, and also more modern constructions to facilitate urban development, such as bridges and tunnels.
With little or no difficulty, the walk is suitable for everyone, including families with children. It ends at the old tannery of Amio, just where a new public green area is being created, the Parque do Berce do Sar, and in the vicinity there is a bus stop that connects with the centre and other neighbourhoods of the city.
