Ana Lua Caiano-Atardecer no Gaiás
Atardecer no Gaiás is an open‑air concert series hosted by Cidade da Cultura . Free of charge, it’s designed to celebrate summer sunsets in Santiago de Compostela with a diverse musical lineup—including rap, neo‑traditional, indie pop, electronic, and tropical rhythms. Held on the Gaiás Central Plaza every Thursday and Friday in July and August, starts at 9 pm .
Ana Lua Caiano explores the fusion of Portuguese folklore and electronica, incorporating the sounds of everyday life and tradition into overlapping melodies and poetic lyrics that connect deeply with the audience. Her name emerged on the Portuguese scene just over a year ago and with her debut album Vou Ficar Neste Quadrado (Glitterbeat, 2024) she has managed to win over international critics and festivals such as Primavera Sound.

Festivals
The festivities dedicated to the Apostle, the patron saint of Santiago, of Galicia and of all of Spain, last for about a fortnight. This festival combines religious and official solemnity, tradition and entertainment, which turn the entire city into a large fiesta.
July 24th and 25th are the two main days. On the night of July 24th there is an impressive firework display in honour of the Apostle, visible from different points in the city.
