Exhibition of paintings by the artist Xaquín Chaves.
If there is one element that has always defined Chaves' work, it is colour, which the artist defines as “magical”. Through glazes, stains, chromatic fields and other cases where the brushstroke is more gestural, ‘A memoria da cor’ reveals the artist's ability to translate, through his mastery of chromatic language, personal experiences, sensations or memories, transferring them to the painting and, by extension, to the spectator who contemplates it.
Black and white also have a space in this exhibition, through two sculptural pieces that translate the polyhedral spirit of Xaquín Chaves and his interest in experimenting with different materials, such as limestone, iron or wood.
