O Gato Negro - Taberna

Traditional Galician, Wine, tapas and portions

Founded in 1922, this is of the few surviving traditional taverns in the Rúa do Franco area, which have all practically disappeared.

It stands out due to its portions of “empanada” (Galician pie) with conger eel, sardines and onioned liver.

It still uses the classic “tazas” (small bowls) to serve wine on tap.
