Abraham Cupeiro transports us through Arab, Celtic, Roman and Greek mythologies in his innovative project, Mythos. This captivating show immerses spectators in worlds and cities lost in time, unearthing the mysteries of ancient enclaves such as the enigmatic Atlantis. Recovering instruments that resounded in Greek theatres, Roman circuses and forgotten caves at the ends of the earth, Cupeiro offers a unique musical journey through stories created since time immemorial, seeking to find a logic to the origin of the universe. At the heart of Mythos we discover the sonorous wonders of the Aulos, a fundamental instrument in Greek antiquity, whose invention is attributed to the Goddess Athena.
Also revealed are the resonant tones of the Cornu, rescued from the ashes of Pompeii, an imposing horn used by the Romans in their war campaigns. This project, with original music composed by Abraham Cupeiro, was recently recorded at the iconic Abbey Road, together with the prestigious Royal Philharmonic in London and will be performed live by Abraham himself and the Gaos orchestra.
