The building called Casa Grande do Pozo is included in Santiago City Council’s Protection of Built Heritage of Cultural Interest catalogue. It belonged to the chapter between the 15^th and 19^th centuries, being highly appreciated since it housed a well supplying water to the city’s public fountains. In the year 1895 the architect Manuel Pereiro Caeiro carried out important alterations to the building.
