There have been Franciscan Tertiaries in Santiago since st. Francis visited Compostela in 1215 and founded his order; they are mentioned in the oldest remaining chronicles dating from the 17th Century.

To Be Taken Into Account...
Procession featuring parish cross, band music with bugles and drums and the Municipal Music Band.
Its members wear a white serge habit with yellow wristbands, sash and hood.
The series of statues entitled “Entrada triunfal de Xesús en Xerusalén” is the work of Roberto G. del Blanco.
