A Pementeira is an initiative that arose from the union of 23 farmers belonging to the “Pimiento de Herbón” (or Padrón pepper) Designation of Origin, with a view to packing and selling peppers. However, they are also interested in innovation with new products such as “Pimiento de Herbón” jam.
During production time (from June to October), there are guided tours of the crops and the factory where they are packed, in Padrón’s Picusa industrial estate. A tasting of Herbón peppers is also included.
