Since prehistoric times, plants have been used to treat all kinds of illnesses due to their soothing, anaesthetic, antiseptic or vulnerary properties. Plant species were collected to be used in a series of health problems, taken as an infusion or applied as lotions.
We will begin with an explanation in which we will encourage the participation of the attendees on the medicinal uses of plants. In case of rain, this talk will have audiovisual support to be developed in the multiple use room of the CIPX. Afterwards, a botanical itinerary will be made through Belvís Park in search of the medicinal plants present in the CIPX environment. The environmental monitors will give explanations for their identification, properties, collection and preparation of remedies. Finally, participants will collect their pots with samples of the different medicinal plants treated during this activity.
