Theatrical performance by the LaPili Theatre Company with the support of the Red Cross.
Unwanted loneliness is one of the major problems facing society today. And what better way than through culture, in this case theatre, to raise awareness of how many older people feel.
The theatre company LaPili with the support of the Red Cross in Malaga produced the play Sol-edad: ‘El tiempo de María’ with the aim of making visible and raising awareness among the population in the detection of situations of unwanted loneliness and isolation of the elderly, using culture as a channel of communication.
The play is part of the CRECE project, which seeks to combat unwanted loneliness through a community perspective, as well as to transform the model of support and long-term care in order to prevent and delay institutionalisation. CRECE is a project financed by the Next Generation Funds of the European Union through the Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030.
