The Compostela Book Week is the result of the collaborative work between the Santiago City Council and the Compostela Book Bureau. It was born in 2017, with the aim of meeting the demands and needs of booksellers and publishers in the Galician capital, and with the challenge of going one step beyond the traditional book fairs. In this 2020 it celebrates its fourth edition.
SELIC is a week of celebration around the book, with activities that invite the participation of the whole family. For this reason, in addition to the presentations and signing of copies, the Book Week promotes parallel activities such as guided tours of the city, children's shows, musical performances, talks and workshops.
