Possessing a multifaceted language, Raquel García-Tomás shares many sound codes with the general public. This communicative desire permeates Ceci n'est palas une vals, co-commissioned by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, which musically paraphrases Magritte's painting and Foucault's text. Bruckner, the solitary and shy composer who sought critical recognition to the point of anguish, had a very different view of the world. Insecure about his creations, which he tended to revise, Symphony No. 4 - called "Romantic" by himself - enjoyed great success in the composer's lifetime. In it he shows his unbridled love of nature, seen through the eyes of a devoted Wagnerian. Bruckner could not have imagined when he composed it in 1878 that he would become Hitler's and Goebbels' favourite composer and that the monastery in Linz, where he studied and is embalmed, would be the headquarters of the Third Reich's radio corporation in his honour.
