The church of San Martiño Pinario will be the venue for the next concert of the Real Filharmonía de Galicia, on Friday 9 July at 20:30. The concert is free of charge, but invitations must be collected, available on the website www.compostelacultura.gal from Monday 5 at 10:00 am.
This initiative is part of the RFG's aim to bring classical music and the orchestra to different parts of the city and to different audiences. The baton will be held by the orchestra's chief conductor and artistic director, Paul Daniel. The Real Filharmonía de Galicia will have the collaboration of the multi-instrumentalist Abraham Cupeiro, who will perform several of his own pieces. The musician, a native of Sarria, will perform on stage several ancient wind instruments, forgotten in time, from different periods and places, some of them more than 2,000 years old, which he himself recovered and reconstructed to create new sonorities and imbricalos in music outside them.
