The Galicreques International Puppet Festival, organised by the Asociación Cultural Barriga Verde with the collaboration of the Santiago City Council, the Xunta de Galicia, the Diputación de A Coruña, the Instituto Nacional de Artes Escénicas y Musicales (Inaem), Iberescena and the Fundación SGAE, will celebrate its 29th edition between the 12th and 20th of October.

The line-up will offer fifteen school performances and will premiere 12 productions, including the play ‘Me recuerda. Spominaj en la mnje', a co-production of the Centro Dramático Galego together with the Bautzen Theater and the Galician company Títeres Alakrán.

The programme includes performances by companies from eight different countries (Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal). The Portuguese country will be the protagonist of a large part of the programme on Sunday 13th, the day on which Galicreques will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 25th April Revolution.

The Galician companies performing in this edition are Titiritres, Larei Lará, Títeres Alakrán, Cachirulo, Danthea Teatro, Títeres Cascanueces, Olga Abad, Carmen Domech, Brincadeira, Luis Vallecicllo and the Argentinian-Galician Gabriela González López.
