The exhibition 'Dona Emilia e Compostela' will be curated by José Manuel González Herrán, professor of Spanish Literature at the USC and member of the board of the Ateneo de Santiago; and by Santiago Díaz Lage, professor at the UNED.
Its main objective is to show the presence of the writer Emilia Pardo Bazán in Santiago de Compostela (visits, stays, relationships, friendships, memories, witnesses...), as well as the imprint of the city in her work (setting of novels and short stories, chronicles and journalistic articles, essays, etc.).
The first part, 'Emilia in Compostela (1866-1879)', will be held in the Artesonado Hall and will include samples (documents, images, books) of her presence, stays, work and personal relationships in Santiago.
The second part, 'Compostela in the work of Pardo Bazán (1880-1921)', in the Chapel, will reflect the presence of the city in her stories, essays, articles and journalistic chronicles.
