As part of the activities programmed around the content of the exhibition Objects of Desire. Surrealism and design, which can be visited at the Cidade da Cultura until 28 August, comes a musical proposal linked to the theme of the exhibition, surrealism. Miniaturas de Granell is a concert centred on the figure of the most singular surrealist author in Galicia, Eugenio Granell.
Surprising? Indeed, his dimension as a musician is his least known facet, but it was investigated years ago, in 2012, in a project supported by the Cidade da Cultura, which under the title "Miniaturas de Granell. Música Revelada" delved into the more than two hundred musical annotations that the author left written and which are kept in the archive of the Granell Foundation.
As a result of this project, a book-disc was published. Now we have the opportunity to recover this research, directed by Ramon Pinheiro, and to listen to Granell's music again at the Gaiás thanks to the performance of Alejandro Vargas (keyboard), Mónica de Nut (voice) José Manuel Díaz (double bass), LAR Legido (drums) and María José Pámpano (viola).
