CIDADES NO TEMPO is an exhibition project that aims to highlight the urban identity of Galicia. This proposal, one of the most complex and ambitious organised in our community in recent years, is made up of seven different exhibitions, one for each of the main Galician cities. And in each of them urban Galicia is vindicated as a key component of Galician identity, with a legacy that goes back centuries in our history. Thus, it explores the uniqueness of each of the cities, different from each other, but at the same time strongly connected.
The seven exhibitions will be displayed in Afundación's headquarters in the main Galician cities and will be developed successively, starting the project with the opening of "Santiago de Compostela no tempo". Once it closes in Compostela, it continues with exhibitions in Ferrol, Lugo, A Coruña, Vigo, Pontevedra and finally Ourense, in a calendar that runs until 2024.
The project stands out for its interactive and graphic technology, which aims to 'make the invisible visible' and observe in a global way what we cannot perceive in our individual experience. Through different technologies that combine research with technical developments specifically designed for the project, visitors will be able to accelerate the time of their cities, discover hidden visual patterns in the urban fabric (in urban furniture, streets, façades and ornamentation) or have their neighbours accompany them by discovering hidden stories of relevant urban spaces.
