BELÉN DE SAN FIZ DE SOLOVIO | 29 nov - 6 Jan
Traditional nativity scene. Nearly 500 figures, moving parts, river with running water, day/night cycle and special effects.
Opening: Friday 29 November, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Monday 4 to Thursday 21 December: 11:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 19:00 h.
Saturdays, Sundays and school holidays: 11:00am to 2:00pm and 4:00 to 9:00pm.
Special dates: 23 December*: Visit of the Christmas Page Girl at 5:30p. and Concert of Neighbourhood Choirs at 6:00pm an 7:30pm.
24 and 31 December: 11:00am to 2:00pm and 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
25 December and 1 January: 5:00 to 9:00pm.
NAPOLITAN NATIVITY SCENE OF THE CATHEDRAL OF SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA | 3 dec - 6 Jan
Napolitan style Nativity Scene (50m2, 500 handmade figures, many of them with automatisms).
Place: Church of the Convent of Carmen.
Open: Every day from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 21:00. Special dates: 25th December and 1st January only in the afternoon.
POPULAR NATIVITY SCENE OF THE CATHEDRAL OF SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA | 3 dec - 6 Jan
Nativity scene in popular style, with figures by Nicolás Almansa (70m2, 530 handmade figures, some of them with automatisms).
Place: Church of San Agustín.
Open: Every day from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00. Special dates: 25th December and 1st January only in the afternoon.
CONXO FAMILY NATIVITY SCENE | 30 Nov - 6 Jan
One of the oldest family nativity scenes in the city, now in its 77th year. More than 45 m3 of assembly, 1100 figures (110 mobile), 210 decorative pieces, 1800 points of light, 38 m of crenellated walls, 39 biblical scenes, water and natural vegetation, etc.
Place: Ruela de Torrente, 6-8 - Conxo
Open: Monday to Saturday: 5:00-8:00pm / Sundays and public holidays: 11:00 am-1:00pm | 5:00-8:00pm.
On December 15th the nativity scene will close at 6:00 p.m. Maximum capacity: 8 people from the same family or group.
FAMILY NATIVITY SCENE IN MALLOU: 6 Dec - 6 Jan
A 30m2 nativity scene with more than 1,500 pieces, which this family has been exhibiting for more than 50 years in the annexe of their house in Mallou and which has won several prizes throughout its history. With mechanised elements, there is no lack of detail, and they even grow vegetables in the garden!
Place: Rúa de Mallou, 24
Open: Monday to Saturday, from 5:00pm to 8.00pm / Sundays and public holidays, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 8:30pm.
NATIVITY SCENE OF THE COLEXIATA DE SAR | 14 Dec - end of January
Exhibition of traditional scenes with mobile figures, with more than 30 years of history.
Place: Cloister of the Colexiata de Sar (Entrance by the Museum).
Open: Monday to Friday, from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm and 4:00 pm to 6:00pm. Saturdays from 10:00 am to 1:30pm.
CHURCH OF SAN CAETANO | 20 Dec - 2 Feb
With figures from all over the world, especially from America (Brazil, Argentina, Mexico...) and also from the French nativity scene, from the Philippines, from the Holy Land, from Mozambique (with ebony wood figures), Bangladesh, etc.
Place: Rúa de San Caetano, s/n. (Exhibition hall, next to the church).
Open: daily, 10:00am-1:00pm and 5:00-6:00pm
Sundays: 10:00am-1:30pm
SURREALISTIC NATIVITY SCENE OF THE EUGENIO GRANELL FOUNDATION | 17 Dec - 12 Jan
Artistic nativity scene with a different, surrealist and multicultural perspective.
Place: Pazo de Bendaña. Praza do Toural
Open: Tuesday to Friday: 11:00 am to 2:00pm and 4:00pm to 8:00pm / Saturdays: 10:30am to 2:30pm. Mondays, Sundays and public holidays and 24th and 31st of December: closed.
CAFÉ CASINO| 4 Dec - 6 Jan
Nativity scene made by Javier Varela, with replicas of buildings in Compostela. Also, exhibition of old ceramic pieces (some of them around 100 years old) of the Infant Jesus.
Place: Rúa do Vilar, 35
Open: Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10:00 to 18:00h.
Friday and Saturday, 11:00 to 21:00h. Closed on Tuesdays.
PLAYMOBIL NATIVITY SCENE |15 Dec - 5 Jan
Made for Manos Unidas in Santiago de Compostela with the famous Playmobil figures.
Place: Rúa de Alfredo Brañas, 2
Open: From 10:30 to 13:30h and from 17:00 to 20:00h.
NATIVITY SCENE AT THE VITE SOCIOCULTURAL CENTRE | 9 Dec - 17 Jan
A completely handmade nativity scene made by Conchi García, a resident of the Vite neighbourhood, using natural resources (stones, bark, wood...) and with great care for the details, with corners that seem to be taken from a fantasy story.
Location: Vite Sociocultural Centre (CSC) – Rúa de Carlos Maside, 7.
Open: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and 24 and 31 December: closed.
NATIVITY SCENE AT THE PAZO DE RAXOI-XUNTA DE GALICIA | Dec 9 - Jan 8
Handcrafted nativity scene made up of a hundred or so large figures and a setting developed by expert nativity scene makers from Oviedo, it recreates passages from the birth of Jesus and also reflects traditional life in the Galician countryside.
Location: Pazo de Raxoi (Access through the presidency of the Xunta de Galicia).
Open: 11:00 to 14:00h and 17:00 to 21:00h.
OBRADOIRO NATIVITY SCENE | 1 Dec - 8 Jan
The square itself will have a nativity scene in silhouette incorporated into the Garden of 8 points.
