BELÉN DE SAN FIZ DE SOLOVIO | 2 Dec - 5 Jan
Traditional nativity scene. Nearly 500 figures, moving parts, river with running water, day/night cycle and special effects.
Installation "CSC no Nadal". Participatory model decorated for Christmas by the neighbourhood of the 48 socio-cultural centres throughout the municipality, including the city and the countryside.
Open: Opening, Friday 2 December, from 4pm to 7pm / Saturday 3 to Sunday 11 December: 11am to 2pm and 4pm to 9pm / Monday to Friday, from 12 to 23 December: 11am to 2pm and 4pm to 7pm.
Saturdays, Sundays and school holidays: 11am to 2pm and 4pm to 9pm / Special celebrations (24 and 31 December): 11am to 2pm and 4pm to 7pm. 25 December and 1 January: 5pm to 9pm.
Reduced opening hours due to Cathedral Choir rehearsals: 7, 9 and 23 December: closing at 19h || 3 January: closing at 20.30h.
Concert by neighbourhood choirs of the Network of Sociocultural Centres: Wednesday 4 January at 6p.m.
FAMILY NATIVITY SCENE IN MALLOU: 1 Dec - 9 Jan
A 30m2 nativity scene with more than 1,500 pieces, which this family has been exhibiting for more than 50 years in the annexe of their house in Mallou and which has won several prizes throughout its history. With mechanised elements, there is no lack of detail, and they even grow vegetables in the garden!
Place: Rúa de Mallou, 24
Open: Monday to Saturday, from 5pm to 8.30pm / Sundays and public holidays, from 11am to 2pm and 5pm to 8.30pm.
CROCHET NATIVITY SCENE | 1 Dec - 6 Jan
Traditional handmade nativity scene of 8m2 made up of more than 50 crocheted figures.
Place: Área Central Shopping Centre (yellow corner).
NATIVITY SCENE OF THE CATHEDRAL OF SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA | 6 Dec - 8 Jan
Neapolitan style Nativity Scene (50m2, 500 handmade figures, many of them with automatisms).
Place: Church of San Agustín
Open: Everyday from 10 to 14 and 16 to 19, except from 12 to 12.30 (mass time)
CHURCH OF SAN CAETANO | 22 Dec - 7 Jan
With figures from all over the world, especially from America (Brazil, Argentina, Mexico...) and also from the French nativity scene, from the Philippines, from the Holy Land, from Mozambique (with ebony wood figures), Bangladesh, etc.
Place: Rúa de San Caetano, s/n. (Exhibition hall, next to the church).
Open: daily, 10am-1pm and 5-6pm (Sundays may vary).
PLAYMOBIL SWEET TOWNSHIP | 7 Dec - 14 Jan
12m2 display with pieces provided by members of the Galician delegation of the Spanish Association of Playmobil Collectors (AESCLICK), which recreates a village with traditional Christmas characters and allusions to typical Christmas sweets.
Place: Área Central Shopping Centre.
NATIVITY SCENE OF THE COLEXIATA DE SAR | 18 Dec - 20 Jan
Exhibition of traditional scenes with mobile figures, with more than 30 years of history.
Place: Cloister of the Colexiata de Sar
Open: Monday to Saturday, from 10am to 2pm (museum opening hours) and 5.30pm to 7pm.
OBRADOIRO NATIVITY SCENE | 2 Dec - 8 Jan
The square itself also has its own nativity scene, where the figures are made up of frames of LED lights and which has the images of the Virgin, Saint Joseph, the baby Jesus, the mule and the ox.
CONXO FAMILY NATIVITY SCENE | 5 Dec - 8 Jan
One of the oldest family nativity scenes in the city, now in its 77th year. More than 45m2, 1773 points of light, 1.100 figures (120 mobile), 200 decorative pieces, 38 scenes.
Place: Ruela de Torrente, 6-8 - Conxo
Open: Monday to Saturday: 17-20h / Sundays and public holidays: 11-13 | 17-20h.
SURREALISTIC NATIVITY SCENE OF THE EUGENIO GRANELL FOUNDATION | 13 Dec - 8 Jan
Artistic nativity scene with a different, surrealist and multicultural perspective.
Place: Pazo de Bendaña. Praza do Toural
Open: Tuesday to Friday: 11am to 2pm and 4pm to 8pm / Saturdays: 10:30am to 2:30pm. Mondays, Sundays and public holidays and 24th and 31st of December: closed.
