This is a day of diverse music, activities for all audiences and a varied gastronomic offer within the framework of the Ascension Festivities 2025.
The Romaría das Flores will be the stage for the concert debut of Tona. This new band creates “música da ribeira” — reinvented popular sounds with a lineup featuring accordion, trikititxa, drums, bass, and the unmistakable voice of Miguel Cernadas (Terbutalina). They’ll perform in the Parque de Belvís early in the day, right after another group reshaping the Galician music scene: Ulex. The Santiago-based band is presenting their debut album Lonxe de ti — “reckless rock,” as they call it, with cumbia vibes and lyrics that could be the soundtrack of Galician youth.
The afternoon will bring two proposals that revisit tradition with fresh, innovative sounds. From Cádiz, Yeli, Yeli, the project of flamenco singer Álvaro Romero, blends electronic music with live drums, mixing flamenco tradition with kuduro. On the other hand, De Ninghures, one of the standout bands of Galicia’s vibrant contemporary scene, will bring the freshness of their new album and spring tour Feira to the Parque de Belvís.
As the evening arrives, the French power pop band Alvilda will surprise the crowd with a mix of bright melodies, punk guitars, and a distinctive yeyé touch. They’ll get everyone dancing just before the Italian quartet The Peawees close the Romaría das Flores concerts with their garage rock and over twenty years of experience, making them a key reference in the European rock scene. The party will come to an end when DJ Wanda Buluba lifts the needle off the last vinyl of the day.
Alongside the concerts, the Parque de Belvís will also feature a leisure area for children, run by Xogos Miudiño, and a family concert after lunch by Uxía Lambona e a Banda Molona.
Romaría das Flores is organized by the Santiago City Council, through the Departments of Festivals and Youth, produced by Tremendo Audiovisual, with main sponsorship from Deleite, and support from Estrella Galicia, Bodegas Lodeiros, and Paco & Lola.
