The sculptor from La Mancha, Austión Tirado, (Mota del Cuervo, 1978) began with Master Enrique Vergara, who taught him the technique of the trade of the ancient boilermakers, the cold beaten plate, consisting of shrinking and stretching the material of carbon and stainless steels, a technique that he transferred to his sculptural world.
Awarded in different competitions, it is worth noting that he was selected on three consecutive occasions for the Reina Sofía Prize for Painting and Sculpture, which is held annually at the Casa de Vacas, in the Parque del Gran Retiro in Madrid.
Los Cuatro Gatos is holding its first individual exhibition in Galicia, with a selection of figurative pieces where the hands are the link to the artist's inner world, his Introspection.
The opening will take place next Saturday 10th October between seven and nine o'clock in the evening, with the capacity that this current situation demands, visits that the artist himself will receive in the room Los Cuatro Gatos, in Rúa das Rodas, 13.
Taking advantage of his stay in Compostela, the artist will offer an introductory workshop to the clay tile in the week of 19 to 25 October, which will take place in the workshop of the sculptor Nando Pereiro.
