As Xornadas de Ilustración Urbana
The Jornadas de Ilustración Urbana (XIU) return from 8 to 9 November to the Sala Mozart of the Auditorio de Galicia to invite the citizens and visitors of Compostela to attend lectures by drawing and illustration artists. Iwona Flaszczynska, Daniel Pagáns, Alán Ramiro, Blanca Escrigas, Pierre Amoudry, Sarah-Marie Shaboyan and João Catarino will bring the details of their creative process to the public in this edition.
Coordinated by Gemma Sesar, the XIU is part of the 7th International Meeting of Compostela Illustrated Travelogues, which will be held from 7 to 10 November.

Festivals
Forth edition of this festival, which is an encounter with the local community and the rock heritage of the area through local and sustainable cultural proposals.
The festivities dedicated to the Apostle, the patron saint of Santiago, of Galicia and of all of Spain, last for about a fortnight. This festival combines religious and official solemnity, tradition and entertainment, which turn the entire city into a large fiesta.
July 24th and 25th are the two main days. On the night of July 24th there is an impressive firework display in honour of the Apostle, visible from different points in the city.
