The Cultural Association O Galo and the Cultural Association Vagalumes celebrate the Reading of Castelao's Alba de Gloria at the summit of Pico Sacro.
PROGRAMME
12h: Welcome to the attendees and speech by Felipe Senén, Secretary of the Royal Galician Academy of Fine Arts and former director of the Archaeological Museum of A Coruña.
12:45h: Ascent to the last stretch of the summit of Pico Sacro, to read Castelao's Alba de Gloria.
13:30h: Visit to the so-called Cova da Raíña Lupa.
15:00h: Lunch. Everyone will bring their own food, drink and utensils.
17h: Walk through the Terras da Ulla.
The activities are free and no registration is required. You can attend all the programmed activities, or only the ones you consider.

Festivals
The “Xenerais da Ulla” is the most outstanding feature of the Ulla region’s traditional Carnival. It has been held in the surroundings of Santiago since the first half of the 19th century: the “Xenerais” (generals) ride on horseback, dressed in colourful military garments similar to those of that time, but they also include purely carnivalesque adornments, which the horses also wear.
