It is located in the parish of Ribeira, in the village of Remesquide and in the place of the same name. It is an ideal fishing area, where the bridge of Remesquide links both sides of the Ulla in the municipalities of Touro and Vila de Cruces.
The Remesquide Recreational Area is located on the right-hand bank of the River Ulla, featuring a series of physical and scenic characteristics that make it ideal for leisure activities. It is equipped with a riverside path, picnic areas, barbecues, benches and other kinds of infrastructure for its visitors’ use and enjoyment. It includes a bar and restaurant service provided by Restaurante Remesquide, where trout dishes can be ordered in advance.
It features good accessibility infrastructure and installations.
How to get there
It can be reached, from Touro, via the road to Fao. Once you reach the Fao crossroads, you take the road on the right, which leads directly to the parish of Ribeira. In this parish, you continue straight on through the villages of San Pedro and Muíños until you come to the village of Remesquide, where you take the trail leading down to the river and the recreational area.
