The Pontiñas Riverside Walk is approximately 9 km long, from the surroundings of the Municipal Auditorium almost as far as the Lalín 2000 Industrial Estate. It is an extensive recreational area featuring several children’s playgrounds and a bio-healthy park, among other attractions.

The walk begins near the Auditorium, where we find an artificial lake, open-air amphitheatre and a children’s playground. Further on, the river disappears in a section reaching as far as the pedestrian crossing in the street called Calle Areal, which we have to cross. We come to Travesía da Ponte, where the river reappears. This area includes several stone sculptures made by local artists, a children’s playground and a bio-healthy park. A bike lane also begins here. If we go under the bridge in Avenida Xosé Cuiña, we will be able to follow the walk’s largest section, featuring more than fifteen bridges, a dozen waterwheels, a fountain, carballeiras (oak groves)… The itinerary ends in Lago do Espiño (lake).
