  Tips
It is important to take into account a series of particularities when it comes to shopping. For example, there are sales during two main times of the year: from January 7th to February 28th and from July 1st to August 30th. Remember that, during the sales, the quality of the products should be the same and their labels should include both the original price and the reduced price.

Practically all shops accept electronic payment with credit cards. Red 6000, Servired, Master, 4B and Visa are the cards normally accepted by all shops, although you should make sure by asking before you buy. There are also cash dispensers available in each shopping area.

In most cases, prices include VAT, which, depending on the particular article, varies from 7 to 16 per cent. Remember that persons from non-European Union countries are exempt from this tax in shops with a 'Tax Free' sticker.

The euro is the only currency accepted for shopping. The main currencies can be exchanged in the city's network of banks and foreign exchange offices. Ask if they take commission and check the exchange rate.

Finally, we would like to remind you that, should you have any problems with your shopping, there is a consumer association that will deal with your complaints. Complaint forms are available in the city's municipal tourist offices, which will make sure they reach the competent organism. Remember that this is in everyone's interest.
