Carnival -  Date varies from end of February to beginning of March, on the three days before Ash Wednesday, which marks the beginning of Lent (forty days before Holy Week) (Feb. 16th to 20th in 2007)

Romería de San Lázaro: 'Festa das Uñas' -  Date varies from Mid-March to beginning of April (9th and 10th March in 2008)

Holy Week -  Not before March 22nd nor after April 25th (Holy Thursday and Good Friday in 2008: March 20th and 21th)
