Continuing through Praza do Toural towards the University, along Rúa das Orfas and Cardeal Payá, we come to Praza de Mazarelos. There we find the arch of the same name, the only one remaining of eight gates in the medieval wall surrounding Santiago until the 19th c. The arch frames the façade of the Convent of las Madres Mercedarias
