Fifty years after archaeological excavations in the Cathedral, the Cathedral Chapter offers the public the unique possibility of going down to the church’s subsoil. In these narrow spaces, previously accessible only to researchers, visitors will find a Roman cemetery and Swabian necropolis with dozens of tombs, as well as gravestones from 13 to 19 centuries old. They will also come across part of the first wall and defences of the city that developed around the pre-Romanesque basilica of the 9th century.
Monday-Friday, except public holidays and eves of public holidays 4 pm.
