Casa do Patrón is a museum in the countryside with more than 2,000 m2 of exhibition space divided among three buildings, where more than 4,000 exhibits from all over Galicia are on display. Small tools with a big story, genuine symbols of Galicia from the last three centuries.
The Museum has 13 exhibition rooms organised by theme, where you can see old schools, our ancestors’ lifestyle, forgotten trades, a tavern, an oven or a traditional forge.
The Casa do Patrón Ethnographic Museum organises a series of annual projects to keep traditions alive, reviving practices from the past that are becoming extinct, such as cereal harvesting, threshing, slaughtering, the “magosto” festival…
Activity workshops (bread, cheese, wickerwork, traditional songs, trekking routes, recycling…) are also held throughout the year for the general public, including individuals, families, schools, associations, institutions and all types of groups. The museums also features a service of homemade meals made to order.
