Avant-garde building constructed by the architects Luís M. Mansilla and Emilio Tuñón, who won an international competition organised by Lalín Town Council for its construction.
This construction, which according to experts is a world-class architectural milestone of the 21st century, is built like an old “castro” (Celtic settlement). The entire building is made up of circular shapes inside and outside, just like Celtic “castros.”
It was opened on September 20, 2013, in which year it also won the Spanish Architecture and Urban Development Prize, in the section devoted to civic symbols.
