Rías Baixas. Península del Salnés
Pontevedra, Combarro, Sanxenxo, Portonovo, O Grove, A Toxa, Cambados
The Salnés region is located between the Ria of Pontevedra and Ria of Arousa, where the best mussels in the world are sown and cultivated.
The entire area is dotted with pretty fishing villages such as Cambados, which can be toured in a tourist train, and Combarro, which is like a toy village. There are also summer resorts with magnificent beaches, such as Sanxenxo and Portonovo.
The O Grove peninsula is a good place for walking and eating fresh fish and seafood. There you also have an interesting aquarium (Acuarium Galicia) and countless boat trips for exploring the “ria.” From O Grove you can cross over to the distinguished island of A Toxa, which can also be conveniently visited in a tourist train.
