The Virxe da Cerca Hotel opened in 1999. Located right in the centre of the old town, it occupies an 18th-century building that used to be a bank and a Jesuit residence –the old highway used to pass by its façade. It is now a restored mansion combining two different atmospheres.
It has an extensive private garden and a romantic summerhouse, both surrounded by glazed walkways like a cloister, suggesting a world full of intimacy and charm. Its main façade is oriented towards the old town’s populous food market, where the countrywomen from the surrounding villages come to sell their produce; its other façade overlooks Belvís Park.
Its rooms are equipped with a bathroom en-suite, hairdryer, minibar, TV, telephone, piped music, air-conditioning and safe. It has a cafeteria, restaurant, meeting rooms and a car park. Also, Internet access and fax, a garden, background music, toiletries, an individual safe, extra beds, laundry service, etc.
