Santiago is the capital of rainfall. Statistics speak of an average of 1,800 mm per square metre on around 142 days of annual precipitation. Under this drizzle, the patina of moss embellishes the granite, a green continuity of the parks and surrounding hills. But far from being an obstacle, in this city “rain is art.” Santiago is a privileged place for watching the rain and finding wonderful spots in which to take shelter.
