Artistic interventions in nature mark a key trend in contemporary art from the mid-twentieth century to the present day: the work of art beyond the museum's spatial framework. In this field of art's relationship with the territory, the Cidade da Cultura de Galicia wants to give greater visibility to the action of creative women and launch the cycle Reb/veladas na paisaxe, which is born with the footprint of a gender perspective, broad and breaking with the excluding, as a sign of identity.
This central feature will be represented, in this first edition, by the participation in Reb/veladas na paisaxe of three Galician curators: Chus Martínez Domínguez, Ánxela Caramés and Antía Cea García, who were completely free to choose the artists with whom the cycle will be run: Beatriz Lobo, Paul Y. Guy and Maria Kulikovska, respectively.
The three interventions in the landscape of Gaiás have in common that they propose a direct connection with the visitors through the route. The pedestrian routes of the Bosque de Galicia and the Parque do Lago will lead the walkers to the artistic interventions formulating an invitation to discovery and experimentation.
