The Chorizo in Wine Gastronomic, Recreational and Cultural Association of Ortoño organises the 10th year of its chorizo in wine festival.

The event, which is being consolidated as one of the region’s main gastronomy festivals, begins at 12.30 pm with a mass in the parish church of San Xoán de Ortoño, located beside the fairground. Starting at 1 pm, chorizos cooked in wine are served along with boiled potatoes, pig’s ear and wine. As is usually the case, lunch is accompanied by traditional music.
From 6 pm onwards, activities for all ages are held: doubles “llave” throwing competition, traditional games and children’s amusements. At dusk, the “Cine naCarballeira” initiative features the screening of a film, followed by another musical session.
