Coinciding with Holy Week, the festival features free concerts in the city’s monumental churches. Medieval “cantigas” along with baroque and Renaissance masterpieces coexist with the spiritual tradition of different cultures, religions and continents, performed by renowned ensembles and artists, often for the first time in Spain.

Summer classical music festival linked to Santiago and its pilgrim routes; it stands out due to the exceptional quality of its programme, highly renowned throughout Europe.

From its more than 20 concerts (90% are free), more than a third are held in Santiago de Compostela, presenting a history of music by the world’s best classical groups.

Via Stellae combines Renaissance and vanguard, European and Galician composers, opera and chamber music, sacred music, premieres and, above all, the only concerts of their kind in Spain.
