Summer classical music festival linked to Santiago and its pilgrim routes; it stands out due to the exceptional quality of its programme, highly renowned throughout Europe.
From its 125 concerts (90% are free), more than a third are held in Santiago de Compostela, presenting a history of music by the world’s best classical groups.
Via Stellae combines Renaissance and vanguard, European and Galician composers, opera and chamber music, sacred music, premieres and, above all, the only concerts of their kind in Spain.
The programme repeats successful initiatives such as “Express Concerts” (30 minutes of music in Santiago’s beautiful cloisters), “Via Stellae 20/21” (contemporary music and Galician composers), “Music and Art,” which combines concerts and guided tours in monasteries and churches along the Way of St. James, and the original series of concerts called “Off Stellae”.
Organised by: Teresa Berganza Lyrical Galician Association and Xunta de Galicia.
