One of the summer's most anticipated festivals begins today: Festiclown. From August 1 to 5, 120 perfromances, 45 companies, 13 training courses and 10 public demonstrations will fill the city with clowns and street artists.
All day: For the second consecutive year, the festival features a twinning of the world of clowns and jugglers, who will share three days of company, training and laughter in Compostela's streets and theatres.
Noon. Several streets in the ols town:
Chaos, or 'Desclowntrol' begins in the old town streets with Bandaclown and Invasión Zancuda.
Noon-2 pm. Plazas de O Toural, Praterías y Obradoiro:
One of the summer's most longed-for festivals begins, with its clown marathon or 'Maraclown'. At 12 noon, 1 and 2 pm, and also in the evening, the public will be able to enjoy these marathon sessions featuring Ale Risorio, Disco Delivery, Circo Los Delfines, Circo Zefiro, Circhonchita, Namakaca, Los Gemelos Diversos, María del Aire... and a lot more.
7 pm. Plaza de O Toural:
Isaac Rodríguez Miranda is the secret identity of Peter Punk, an imaginary character from the land of 'Nunca Máis', a new Vigo juggler who exemplifies the new school of traditional street artists.

Picompé are a veteran juggling and new circus company that have been touring Galicia's towns and villages for ten years. Now they are presenting their show 'O Kásting' in Compostela.

Conference by the theatre educator, clown, actor, director and author of the book 'El Clown, un Navegante de las Emociones', Jésus Jara.
10 pm. Teatro Principal:
One of the most anticipated moments of Festiclown has arrived: the Galician premiere of the Italian clown Leo Bassi's latest and controversial show.: 'La revelación'.
11.30 pm. Teatro Principal:
The Catalan company La Pestañas brings its latest show to Galicia, 'Bienvenidos al cielo'.
