Ancient festival based on the auctioning of pig's trotters as an affering to the saint. This one of Compostela's most popular and traditional festivals. It is followed the next day by the Pig's Trotters Festival, when those in attendance sample the pig's trotters auctioned on the previous day. After the auctioning of the pig's trotters, they are now coocked and accompanied by cabbage 'bertóns,' an exclusive recipe from this neighbourhood that is also available in different restaurants. There is also music and dancing in the evening.
A Estrada’s Cider Festival arose due to the existence of a tradition, in relation to boththe growing of apples and the making of cider. The festival was held for the first time in 2012 with the aim of bringing together all of Galicia’s producers; cider makers from the entire Cantabrian coast were also present: Asturias, Zamora, Cantabria and the Basque Country.
The Municipality of A Estrada’s local holiday, devoted to its patron saint, “San Paio,” is held from June 26 to 29. During these four days, an extensive programme of recreational, sports, cultural and religious activities is carried out.
Every year more than 1,500 people gather to savour the biggest paella made in Galicia with 1,000 kg of rice. The festival started in 2001 and has already been consolidated as an important event in the Municipality of Silleda’s festive calendar.

The gastronomy festival par excellence in the municipality of Padrón, held on the first Saturday in August in the parish of Herbón. It started in 1978 and is now classified as a Festival of Galician Tourist Interest.
Festival featuring the promotion and tasting of ham, which is held on August 14 in the parish of Bermés (Lalín) and will reach its 16th year in 2014. Cured and roast ham is served, along with bread and wine.
