Festival de Músicas Contemplativas. Concierto de Forma Antiqva

Forma Antiqva is a baroque music ensemble made up of young interpreters who studied in prestigious European conservatories, such as Catalonia's Escola Superior de Música, the Royal Conservatory of The Hague or London's Guildhall School of Music. All of its members are experienced concert performers with different baroque ensembles and orchestras. 'The fact that the tiny wingbeats of a colourful butterfly could produce chaos in the entire planet is an accepted and demonstrated theory. However, unconsciously, we do not recognise the same argument in music, even when it is explained to us by a certain Aristotle. Action and reaction. Why make music' What is the objective of playing it' Perhaps for fun and recreation' Perhaps because it is pleasant and helps us to forget about our problems, like sleeping and drinking' but there is more to it. Music has a virtue that other pastimes do not possess and that takes it to a superior level. Its education. Its effect on us, on our character. Music can clearly change the soul's moral character and if it has that ability, imagine what it could lead to''
